You Matter Campaign banner
The City of Geneva, in collaboration with Geneva Community Unit School District 304, Geneva Park District, and Geneva Public Library District, is launching the YOU MATTER campaign to raise awareness about suicide prevention this September. Visit gpld.org/you-matter for mental health resources or stop by the Library to see our Messages of Hope display in the lobby. Anyone who needs it can take a Message of Hope or contribute one for others.

National Alliance on Mental Illness
The KDK affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illnesses offers connections, education, and support for both those living with mental health conditions, and their families and communities. They also run free support groups and community presentations throughout the Kane, Dekalb, and Kendall county areas.

This 90-minute workshop will teach you how to recognize the warning signs of suicide and mental health crisis, and how to respond with care and support. You’ll learn about common myths, risk factors, and how to offer help to someone in crisis. The session includes hands-on practice of skills to feel more confident in offering support. We’ll also cover important community and national resources available for those in need.
