One Book, One Community. February 7 to April 19
 
Virginia Evans and her book, The Correspondent
One Book, One Community is an annual community-wide reading event hosted by Geneva Public Library and dedicated to creating a shared conversation through a range of related events and activities for residents of all ages. This event is made possible by generous sponsorships from Friends of Geneva Public Library and the Geneva Library Foundation.
 
SATURDAY, FEB. 7 • 9 A.M.–5 P.M.
Visit the Library to pick up your copy of our book selection, The Correspondent by Virginia Evans. Giveaway copies are sponsored by Friends of Geneva Public Library. Copies will be available as giveaways starting on Feb. 7, 2026, at our kickoff event. One book per person is available while supplies last. Copies will also be available for checkout.
 
Take part in our community art project – Dear Geneva! Art supply kits will be available to take home with you or to work on in our Makerspace.** Art submissions will be displayed at the Library throughout our One Book, One Community event series, to share in the community spirit!

**Submit your finished pieces to our Customer Service Desk in the Lobby. Available while supplies last.

Enjoy a wide array of wine, craft beer, appetizers, and live music, all while raising a glass to help plant more trees in Geneva!
 
Wine, Cheese, and Trees is a fundraiser to help replant trees in the City of Geneva. It is a partnership between Geneva Natural Resource Committee, Geneva Park District Foundation, and Geneva Library Foundation. Buy your tickets at https://auctria.events/WCT and join the fun. Event is 21+.

One of the most creatively expressive eras in American history, the Harlem Renaissance, was the first Afrocentric cultural movement. Encompassing literature, music, philosophy, and visual art, this presentation focuses on major visual artists whose work has influenced African American art through the present day.
