The Searcher by Tana French
Cal Hooper thought a fixer-upper in an Irish village would be the perfect escape. After 25 years in the Chicago police force and a bruising divorce, he just wants to build a new life in a pretty spot with a good pub where nothing much happens. But when a local kid whose brother has gone missing ropes him into investigating, Cal uncovers layers of darkness beneath his picturesque retreat, and starts to realize that even small towns shelter dangerous secrets.

Charming Billy by Alice McDermott
At a Bronx bar, friends and family gather to honor Billy Lynch—a charming dreamer, devoted husband, and hopeless drunk. As they comfort his widow, Maeve, they recall his first love, Eva, whose memory haunted his marriage and fueled his downfall. Through their stories, a question lingers: Who is truly responsible for Billy’s fate, and what does it mean to mythologize a friend’s suffering?
by Neal Thompson
The First Kennedys by Neal Thompson
Based on genealogical breakthroughs and previously unreleased records, this is the first book to explore the inspiring story of the poor Irish refugee couple who escaped famine; created a life together in a city hostile to Irish, immigrants, and Catholics; and launched the Kennedy dynasty in America.

The World Central Kitchen Cookbook by Jose Andres

In their first cookbook, WCK shares recipes inspired by the many places they've cooked following disasters as well as inspiring narratives from the chefs and volunteers on the front lines. Photographs captured throughout the world highlight community and hope while stunning food photography showcases the mouthwatering recipes. Each chapter reflects a value of the organization. The World Central Kitchen Feeding Humanity, Feeding Hope is a celebration of dignity and perseverance--and about building longer tables, not higher walls.
